This site is all about DVDwizard - a set of bash-scripts to aid you in authoring Video-DVDs on Linux.

Creating Video-DVDs with nice graphical navigation and selection menus from a given mpeg file becomes as easy as typing "dvdwizard mymovie.mpg" on the command line.

Next release DVDwizard 0.6.2 is out

The new release version 0.6.2 of DVDwizard is out. It is tested with ImageMagick 6.5.8-3. For the newer version 1.1.5 of transcode with a workaround for cpu accelerations. And with better support for NTSC.

The new release version 0.6.1 of DVDwizard is out. Because of older behavior of ImageMagick the minimal versionof IM is now defined to 6.3.5-0. The newer one (IM 6.5.5-x) needed one more patch. And the new version is now tested with transcode 1.1.5.

What is DVDwizard?

The general idea behind dvdwizard was to automate the creation of a full-featured Video-DVD structure from a given MPEG-file and make it as easy as possible. On the other hand, it should be flexible enough to let the more experienced user adjust the looks of the DVD to his or her liking.

Installation Guide

Installation of dvdwizard on your machine is fairly simple. Just download the latest version of dvdwizard and untar it anywhere you want. This will create a subdirectory named dvdwizard-<version>. cd into this directory and either use the contained install script (sh ./install.sh) or Makefile (since 0.6.0) (make install).
